When I tossed out my modest vinyl record collection, no one could have convinced me that they would make a comeback. As a media professional and educator, I wasn't aware of a technology that disappeared (mostly) and came back. We have CDs now and eventually digital downloads. Why would we ever need these records? Well, vinyl is back and apparently to stay, at least for a while.
